Introduction & Scope

Welcome to Roomora – AI Interior Design & Room Decor ("Roomora", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by the Roomora Team (Package Name: com.goya.roomora).

Roomora allows users to photograph or upload pictures of their living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and other spaces, select aesthetic interior styles (such as Modern, Minimalist, Luxury, Scandinavian, Japandi, Industrial, Boho, and Mid-Century Modern), and generate photorealistic AI room transformations.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and protect your information when you access or use our mobile application across Android and iOS, as well as associated services and website endpoints. We are committed to adhering to global standards, including:

  • Google Play Store Developer Policies (including User Data & Mobile Advertising policies)
  • Google AdMob & AdSense Policies (including Rewarded Ads and User Messaging Platform consent guidelines)
  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU & UK)
  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) / CPRA (California, USA)
  • Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

Room Photos & AI Image Processing

The core feature of Roomora is visual room styling. To deliver this service:

  • User Uploads: You may snap a photo of your existing room directly using the in-app camera or select an existing interior photo from your device's photo gallery.
  • Encrypted Transmission: Uploaded images are transmitted over secure, end-to-end encrypted TLS 1.3 / HTTPS connections to our cloud infrastructure for real-time generative interior transformation.
  • Ephemeral Processing: Photos are processed dynamically to apply the selected interior architectural style, texture mapping, furniture replacements, and ambient lighting cues.
  • No Biometric or Facial Recognition: Roomora is strictly an architectural interior design tool. We do not analyze, extract, or retain biometric templates, facial recognition patterns, or identity markers from images.
  • No Unauthorized Public Showcasing: Your uploaded and generated room transformations remain private to you. We do not publish your private rooms publicly without your explicit written permission.

Your Living Space Stays Private: We do not claim ownership of your room pictures. You can save generated designs directly to your phone's photo gallery or discard them at will.

Device Permissions & Hardware Access

In accordance with Google Play Developer Program policies, we request only the minimal permissions strictly necessary to execute the app's core functionalities:

Permission Name Platform / Target Why It Is Needed Optional / Required
android.permission.CAMERA Android & iOS Allows you to capture live photos of your room to immediately generate an AI interior design. Optional (required only if taking live photos)
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES Android 13+ (API 33+) Enables you to browse and select an existing room photo from your device's photo library. Optional (required only if picking from gallery)
READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE Android 12 & below Allows reading selected photos and saving the resulting high-resolution rendered interior images back to your phone gallery. Optional (legacy Android storage access)
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID Android (Google Play Services) Enables Google AdMob to deliver capped, fraud-protected, and relevant advertisements or opt-in rewarded ads. Standard Advertising Identifier
INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE Android & iOS Required to communicate with secure AI processing servers and load app configuration. Required for AI design generation

You can modify or revoke these permissions at any time via your device's native operating system settings (e.g., Settings > Apps > Roomora > Permissions). Revoking camera or media access will only limit photo uploading; all other static app features remain available.

Information We Collect & How It Is Used

We categorize collected information into the following tiers:

A. Information You Voluntarily Provide

  • Interior Photos: Images you capture or select for AI rendering.
  • Style Preferences: Room types (e.g., Living Room, Bedroom), architectural styles (e.g., Japandi, Scandinavian, Luxury), and color palette choices.
  • Customer Feedback & Reports: Optional feedback, ratings, or issue descriptions submitted via the in-app design report modal.

B. Automatically Collected Technical & Diagnostic Data

  • Device Information: Device model, manufacturer, operating system version (Android / iOS), and screen resolution.
  • Usage Analytics: Number of designs generated, features utilized (such as the Before/After slider, image sharing), and app lifecycle events.
  • Crash Reports & Performance Metrics: Stack traces, latency logs, and failure errors collected through Firebase Crashlytics to guarantee application stability.

C. Local Storage & Sandboxed Caches

Roomora stores your generated designs, local style history, and cached point tallies locally on your device within the app's sandboxed storage (SharedPreferences on Android, NSUserDefaults on iOS). You can clear this data at any time by selecting "Clear Cache" or "Clear Storage" in your device's Application Settings.

Google AdMob, Rewarded Ads & Consent

To provide generous daily free AI room redesigns, Roomora integrates Google AdMob to display advertising.

Opt-In Rewarded Video Ads

Roomora includes an optional Rewarded Ads system:

  • Strictly User-Initiated: Rewarded ads are never shown unexpectedly. Users intentionally tap buttons such as "Watch Ad for +5 Free Credits" or "Unlock HD Download".
  • Clear Pre-Ad Disclosure: Before any rewarded video plays, the exact benefit is clearly displayed. You may choose not to watch the ad at any time.
  • No Forced Views: If you decline to watch a rewarded video, you will not be penalized; you continue to receive your standard daily free design quota.

Consent Management (Google UMP)

For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Roomora incorporates the official Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK:

  • On first launch, EEA/UK users are presented with a transparent consent dialog certified by the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF v2.2).
  • You can consent to personalized ads, choose non-personalized ads, or configure individual vendor consents.
  • You may review or revoke your advertising consent preferences at any time in the app settings.

Advertising Identifiers (AAID / IDFA): AdMob uses your device's resettable advertising identifier for frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and combating ad fraud. You can reset or limit ad tracking in your phone's privacy settings.
